This summer, explore the Charlevoix region on two or four wheels and make your way across magnificent and diverse landscapes. While the St. Lawrence Route and the Mountain Road are great places to start, there are also many other great options for surprising discoveries and astonishing circuits. Take the Trade Route to learn more about the know-how and talent that abounds in the region. The Motorcycle tour, which combines curves and valleys, will delight bikers looking to rev up their engines. Then there’s of course the Flavour Trail, which promises to delight both your eyes and taste buds!

A spectacular trip through craters and tides

Charlevoix owes its relief to the impact of a meteorite that hit the area more than 400 million years ago. Since then, the area has continued to forge its character, offering the extraordinary vistas we know today. You can see the remains of this collision – a 54 km crater and its central peak – at Mont des Éboulements. Take the opportunity to visit the village of the same name, which is home to an agri-tourism farm, a charming chocolate factory and a traditional mill. And if you feel the pull of the tides, head to Sainte-Irénée to marvel at the long banks, or to Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive, where you’ll find a charming maritime museum.
