From the end of September to the end of November, the great migratory movement of snow geese is a fantastic show around the coastal areas of Chaudière-Appalaches. From Montmagny to L’Islet and on Île-aux-Grues, the region boasts a wealth of birdwatching opportunities. The tidal flats form a nutrient-rich environment favoured by a high concentration of geese, who travel there to stock up before their long journey to the East Coast of the U.S. Fall is also a good time to see families of geese, since the geese make the journey with their young, who are just a few weeks old at that moment.
